Whole Body Hyperthermia is a highly technical procedure that raises the temperature of the entire body under a controlled medical environment. The main goal is to capitalize on the fact that tumors have a disorganized vascular structure that cannot dissipate heat, triggering protein damage and apoptosis, or program destuction of the cell.

Hyperthermia mimics a fever. It increases blood flow and oxygenation by 10 fold, helping good cells, but with devastating effect on cancer cells-making them less able than normal cell to withstand the added stress from heat.

This procedure enhances good response to other therapies given at lower doses.

The procedure called "Whole Body Perfusion Hyperthermia" induces heat from the inside-out, bypassing the natural body barriers and insulating systems, to effectively raise the core temperature of the body.

Higher temperature raises enzyme activity, oxygen saturation and immunity several fold, affecting cancer cells directly, but leaving normal cells unharmed.
